October Break 2016

This October is the first I chose not go anywhere and I was very disappointed at first, but then thought "I could use this to get caught up on work, increase Spanish classes, hangout with friends I don't usually see and rest."

Mountains and clouds. Cloud and mountains.

I took an extra 5ish hours of class this week. We talked a lot about politics and while I drive her crazy by switching to English now and again, I am getting better with speaking, next is to really practice listening.

I graded 115 projects, finished putting all grades in the gradebook and will hopefully have my comments, work ethic grade, and behavior grade entered by Sunday.  I also planned my first lesson of 11 for the quarter and have a goal of 2 more planned before Tuesday #teachervacay

I hung out with my new work buddy talking baseball and tinder dates (not me, him) while watching hot dad (Juan Pablo Angel), from the corner of my eye, having lunch [wondering why the crazy familiar looking teacher is staring at him---- I taught your awesome sons, buddy!!]

Photo caption: I mean who wouldn't want all this beauty starting at them while they try to eat there burger in peace!

My friend and I found a decent Mexican food place in Sabaneta that was pretty good considering we are not in Texas or Mexico...... Took lots of great photos of food.

I drank LOTS of coffee. Maintained healthy bedtimes, woke up early.  Baby sat a cat. Tried I  to stay dry and warm during this rainy season.  Regular Yoga sessions and walk here and their and their back again.... Trying to doing something exercise-y everyday! Oh and took a lot of selfies! I mean a staycation requires a multitude!

So, that was my week. Nothing exciting but loved every minute of it (except that game 3 ranger loss, that brought a tear)!

Enjoy life and make lemonaid with the messy stuff!!

Sincerely,

Carrie Lynn

Update on health: new meds are working better!!  90% of the time life is perfect and I feel everyone should be envious of my perfect life! 5% of the time, life is normal and great, but kinda wanna move back home. 5% of the time, you better stay far away because I'm wallowing in self pitty. If you have have brain surgery and left with deficits I suggest discussing Baclofen (with Gabapentin) with your doctor. IT WILL change your life!!!
